 Jimmy Donaldson (born May 7 1998), better known as MrBeast in the United States is an American YouTube star. He is also a philanthropist and entrepreneur. He is known for inventing YouTube videos that feature extravagant stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson posted videos to YouTube at 13 under the pseudonym "MrBeast6000". His initial content consisted of videos and Let's Plays estimating the wealth other YouTubers. He went viral in 2017 after his "counting up to 100,000" video received hundreds of thousands of views in a matter of days. He has been getting more and more popular ever since, with the majority of his videos earning tens of millions of views.Over time his style of content has changed to include donation and challenge videos that award thousands of dollars, video with difficult challenges or tasks and original videos. Donaldson recruited his former friends from school to help run the brand as it grew. MrBeast the main YouTube channel of Donaldson, a channel, with more than 100 million users was founded in 2022.
